SmartGeo is an interdisciplinary engineering and science graduate program designed to prepare a new generation of leaders in the development of intelligent geosystems - enabling engineered and natural earth structures and environments that sense their environment and adapt to improve performance. SmartGeo is different than traditional Ph.D. programs. SmartGeo graduate students:
- pursue research & innovation within multidisciplinary teams
- participate in a formal leadership and teamwork development program
- integrate social & environmental ethics/policy into education and research plan
SmartGeo is accepting applications through January 31 for Fall 2010. Ph.D. Fellowships cover full tuition, fees, health insurance and provide a $30,000 annual stipend.
